Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Drew Willy’s status unknown

WINNIPEG – Blue Bombers quarterback Drew Willy continues to be evaluated after suffering a suspected head injury in Thursday’s loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Willy was forced out of the game late in the first half after taking a helmet to helmet hit from Hamilton defensive end Adrian Tracy.

Willy appeared have been knocked out by the blow as he lay motionless for several minutes on the field. He eventually walked off and immediately made his way to the locker room.

The Bombers say Willy’s status for next Friday’s game against the Montreal Alouettes is still unknown. The team will update his condition on Monday.
