Ontario’s top doctor says rapid testing provides ‘safety buffer’ for students returning to school

Ontario’s chief medical officer Dr. Kieran Moore said Thursday that because the province has distributed 11 million rapid antigen tests to schools across the province, it has provided a “safety buffer” for students returning to class after the holidays. He added that students have already “sacrificed a lot” and that he “endorses” the decision to open schools on Jan. 5.
