It’s been a cooler than usual July in our region, but that hasn’t prevented a new wildfire from springing to life in the Similkameen valley. The Richter Mountain wildfire rapidly grew in size overnight and now covers 60 hectares. As Shelby Thom reports, while no structures are threatened, orchardists in the area are on edge.
