Global News projects Nate Glubish will win the seat in Strathcona-Sherwood Park for the United Conservative Party.
Strathcona-Sherwood Park is a provincial riding located in the greater Edmonton area. Glubish first took office in 2019.
He collected 14,151 votes, winning 52.51 per cent of the vote in the 2019 Alberta provincial election.
Glubish was also the minister of technology and innovation before the legislature was dissolved.
The Alberta NDP won the riding in 2015 and Bill Tonita, a former Strathcona County councillor, was the candidate the party was hoping could help it flip the riding. He has been campaigning since June.
