Global News is projecting Danielle Smith will win the riding of Brooks-Medicine Hat for the United Conservative Party.
Brooks-Medicine Hat is a provincial riding located in southern Alberta. This riding is currently represented by United Conservative MLA Danielle Smith who first took office in 2022.
Smith collected 6,919 votes, winning 54.5 per cent of the vote in the November 2022 byelection.
Teacher Gwendoline Dirk, who has also served as a commissioner on the Medicine Hat Police Commission, is the NDP candidate for the riding.
Alberta Party Leader Barry Morishita is the candidate for that party in Brooks-Medicine Hat.
