MONTREAL – Police blocked off a street outside of Quebec’s National Assembly after the discovery of a suspicious package on Thursday morning.
A security perimeter was set up and Rue des parlementaires was closed off.
One man was taken into custody for questioning and provincial police were analyzing the package.
The incident took place as the Parti Quebecois tabled its controversial charter of values.
