According to the BCAA, as many as one in 20 British Columbians aren’t using a car seat for their infants and toddlers. And while they don’t have statistics on how many car seats are even installed properly, numbers from the US show three out of four are not used or installed correctly.

A properly used and installed car seat can reduce the risk of death by 70 per cent so safety experts urge parents to take a few minutes to ensure their child is as safe as possible.
