TORONTO – Police are looking for a man who stole money from a poppy donation box at a Tim Hortons in Simcoe.
Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police say staff noticed the box was missing after a man used the restaurant washroom on Monday and then left.
The box and the poppies were found in the washroom, but the donated money was missing.
The incident happened around midnight at the Queensway location.
Police are looking for a 30 to 40-year-old white man, about 5’7″ tall, who was last seen wearing a camouflage coloured hat, blue jogging pants, and a dark blue sweater.
Anyone with information about the suspect or similar cases is urged to come forward.
