Van den Broek was elected in 2018, beating out the projected favourite Peter Fassbender by just over 200 votes. She was overwhelmingly defeated this year by Pachal, who had been a councillor since the 2016 byelection.

Global News projects incumbent councillors Paul Albrecht, Teri James and Rosemary Wallace will be joined by newcomers Mike Solyom, Leith White and Delaney Mack on council.
