Man wanted for second-degree murder in downtown Toronto stabbing death

TORONTO – Toronto police are searching for a man wanted on a murder charge in a stabbing on a downtown street.

Police say Rameez Khalid, 19, was stabbed early Sunday outside a nightclub (the Opera House at Richmond Street East and York Street) in the midst of the all-night Nuit Blanche arts festival.

They say he was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police on Tuesday identified a man sought in the case.

They say 22-year-old Emanuel Lozada of Toronto is wanted for second-degree murder.
