MONTREAL – New allegations against former Montreal mayor Michael Applebaum are linking him with the scandal surrounding the contract to build the super-hospital.
The QMI news agency got their hands on the Applebaum arrest warrants Thursday.
It names his alleged involvement in almost a dozen questionable contracts in his former Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough, including the superhospital.
The documents show police are also investigating Applebaum’s involvement in several condo developments, the new NDG sports complexe, and the development of the land surrounding a former orphanage run by nun’s in Côte Saint-Luc.
Applebaum is facing 14 criminals charges including fraud, municipal corruption and breach of trust.
