RCMP Saskatchewan arrested Matthew Barker at a Winnipeg location on May 6, 2022. He was wanted for multiple charges including dangerous operation of a vehicle, failure to stop while being pursued by a police officer and trafficking stolen property.
During the arrest officers located approximately 27 grams of methamphetamine in his possession along with a weapon and drug-related paraphernalia.
After to his arrest, officers searched a hotel room used by Barker and located several loaded handguns.

Matthew Barker was remanded into custody for a court appearance scheduled May 9, 2022, in Winnipeg on multiple charges including unsafe storage of firearm, possession of a restricted firearm, possession of controlled substance (Methamphetamine) and failure to comply with release order condition.
RCMP said they will continue to investigate.
On April 25, Nipawin RCMP tried to stop the driver of a truck in Aylsham, Sask., but the driver did not stop and fled the scene. The truck was determined by the police as stolen and as a result of the investigation 31-year-old Matthew Barker was charged.
