Coquitlam says a man who was unlawfully at large from a psychiatric facility has been located.
Mounties issued an alert for The Cao Phan, 59, last Thursday, after he walked away from the B.C. Forensic Psychiatric Hospital, commonly known as Colony Farm.
“Phan may behave in a way that presents a risk to himself or the public. Phan requires daily medication which he does not have in his possession,” police said at the time.

Police thanked the media and the public for their assistance in locating him.
The Colony Farm facility is responsible for treating people who have been not criminally responsible for a crime or unfit to stand trial due to a mental disorder.
