TORONTO – The rain came down and the stars came out Saturday in Toronto for the 2013 Canada’s Walk of Fame induction ceremony.
Honourees included actors Alan Thicke and Victor Garber, soccer star Christine Sinclair, music producer Bob Ezrin and activists Craig and Marc Kielburger.
Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen received the Allan Slaight Award.
Thicke was accompanied at the gala by his wife Tanya Callau and his youngest son Carter — and followed by a crew filming scenes for his upcoming reality show.
Among those walking the red carpet outside the Elgin Theatre were rocker Alice Cooper, singing group The Tenors and actress Joanna Kerns.

Canadian stars Martin Short, Tom Cochrane and Hedley’s Jacob Hoggard declined interviews on the red carpet. Mike Myers, a presenter, skipped the carpet completely.
Kerns said she was thrilled to be at the gala to honour her Growing Pains husband Alan Thicke.
“He loves Canada, he loves Canadians and he loves being here,” she told reporters. “So it’s great that I get to be here too.”
She was asked what she would say to her TV son, Kirk Cameron, who has been outspoken in his opposition to equal marriage rights in the U.S.
“That’s a tough one,” Kerns said. “We live in a free country and you are allowed to have your own views but I think all of us believe in family equality and we are very excited about the movement in our own country for all these laws that are changing.
Garber, whose longtime partner Rainer Andreesen watched from a distance, weighed in on the controversy over Ben Affleck being cast as Batman.
“I think it’s perfect,” said Garber, who officiated at the wedding of Affleck and Jennifer Garner. “He’ll be great. When does Ben Affleck ever not look good? It’s annoying how handsome he is.”
The Canada’s Walk of Fame gala was taped for broadcast on Global and Slice on Oct. 27.
