According to posts on the Toronto police Twitter account, emergency crews were called to the area of Caledonia Road and Glengrove Avenue, south of Lawrence Avenue, just after 3:30 p.m.

Police said there were reports of three motorcycles driving fast southbound on Caledonia Road.

A white Toyota was driving northbound attempting to make a left-hand turn, police said.

“It was at that point that one of three motorcycles that were travelling southbound on Caledonia made contact with the front-end of that Toyota,” Duty Insp. Michael Collins told reporters.

The rider was ejected from the motorcycle, Collins said. He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead on scene.

Roads are closed in the area as the Toronto police Traffic Services Unit investigates.
