MONTREAL – The PQ today is trying to downplay a Montreal City Hall resolution denouncing its proposed charter of Quebec Values.

The PQ proposal would ban public-sector employees from wearing turbans, hijabs and other religious symbols at work.
City Hall is asking the PQ government to seek out a more balanced approach to secularism that would take into account Montreal’s multicultural identity.
Global News spoke to the councillor behind the City Hall resolution.
He told us the Montreal motion aims to send a message to the PQ.
