Two people died during a collision involving a semi and an SUV on Highway 7 west of Fiske, Sask. on Thursday.
Rosetown RCMP, fire and ambulance attended the collision which happened sometime around 10 a.m.
The investigation found the semi was travelling eastbound and the SUV was travelling westbound when the SUV crossed over the centre line, crashing head-on with the semi. Both occupants of the SUV died.
The semi driver was taken to hospital with what RCMP described as minor injuries.

The highway was blocked off in both directions, detours were in place and officers were re-directing traffic.
The semi was not carrying any dangerous materials, according to RCMP.

RCMP sent a traffic analyst to assist in the investigation. The highway has since reopened.
