Canada election results: Steveston–Richmond East

Global News projects the Liberals have regained the riding of Steveston–Richmond East.

With nearly 98 per cent of polls reporting, Liberal Parm Bains had 42 per cent of the vote, ahead of Conservative incumbent Kenny Chiu, who garnered 33 per cent. Jack Trovato of the NDP was third with 19.4 per cent.

Chiu was elected to the seat 2019, defeating Liberal incumbent Joe Peschisolido.

The electoral district is located in B.C.’s Lower Mainland, covering part of the City of Richmond and bordering the Fraser River.
