Former federal Green Party leader Elizabeth May is projected to hold her to her seat in B.C. once again.
May has been the MP for Saanich–Gulf Islands since 2011.
As of 9:12 p.m. with 95 out of 236 polls reporting, May was leading with 39 per cent of the vote.
Conservative David Busch was in second place with 20.2 per cent, and NDP’s Sabina Singh in third with 19.5 per cent.
May stepped down as leader of the Green Party last November, saying she had promised her daughter that the 2019 election would be her last as party chief, but not necessarily as MP.
Saanich-Gulf Islands is comprised of the communities of Sidney, North Saanich and Central Saanich, as well as the Gulf Islands.
