Liberal incumbent Peter Fragiskatos is projected to be re-elected in London North Centre.
Incumbent Liberal Peter Fragiskatos is projected to be re-elected for a third term. Fragiskatos won in 2019 and 2015 with comfortable leads — roughly 19 per cent both elections. (42.75% in 2019 and 50.45% in 2015).
“An enormous thank you to the people of London North Centre. They’re sending me to Ottawa…to be their voice there and I take that responsibility incredibly seriously. It is an honour that I can never express properly in words…and I will continue to fight for them everyday,” Fragiskatos said.
Fragiskatos will continue the Liberals long-time hold over the riding. Previously, former London Mayor Joe Fontana held the riding from 1997 to 2006, and Glen Pearson held it from 2006 until 2011.
The last and only time a Conservative has been elected in the riding was Susan Truppe in 2011. She ran again in 2015 but lost to Fragiskatos, who got 50 per cent of the vote.
The Ontario riding of London North Centre spans everything north of the Thames River between Highbury and Wonderland Road, with the exception of a number of homes east of Adelaide Street and south of the CN Rail tracks, which fall under London–Fanshawe.
