Conservative Party candidate Alain Rayes is the projected winner in the riding of Richmond–Arthabaska.
A large riding to the east of Drummondville and north of Sherbrooke, Richmond—Arthabaska includes all of the regional county municipalities of Les Sources and Arthabaska. The main population centre is Victoriaville.
The riding was created prior to the 1997 election from a variety of electoral districts in eastern Quebec.
Prior to the election of longtime Bloc Québécois MP André Bellavance in 2004, Richmond—Arthabaska was held by Progressive Conservative André Bachand from 1997 to 2003. When the PC and Canadian Alliance merged in 2003, Bachand chose to sit as an independent for the remainder of his term.
In 2019, Richmond—Arthabaska voters re-elected Conservative incumbent Alain Rayes. He first took the seat in 2015 with of the vote 31.57 per cent of the vote.
