Liberal candidate Fayçal El-Khoury is the projected winner in the riding of Laval–Les Îles.
The riding of Laval–Les Îles consists of the western part of the city of Laval. It includes the neighbourhoods of Laval-sur-le-Lac, Laval-Ouest and Sainte-Dorothée.
Since 2004, the riding has been mostly a Liberal stronghold.
However, in 2011, the NDP’s François Pilon won the seat with 47.6 per cent of the vote. He sought re-election in 2015 but lost his seat to Liberal Fayçal El-Khoury, who won with 47.7 per cent of the vote.

As of 2016, the riding’s population is 108,003.
