BQ candidate Xavier Barsalou-Duval is the projected winner in the riding of Pierre-Boucher—Les Patriotes—Verchères.
The riding came into effect following redistribution in 2021.
The riding contains the towns of Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu, Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu and Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil. The City of Boucherville, which was formerly split with Longueuil—Pierre-Boucher, is now united in this riding.
Almost 90 per cent of people in this riding identify as third-generation Canadians, according to the 2016 census.
The former ridings that made up Pierre-Boucher—Les Patriotes—Verchères were longtime Bloc Québécois strongholds until the NDP made a breakthrough in 2011. Like many ridings outside the Island of Montreal, the area elected Bloc members exclusively between 1993 and 2011, PC candidates from 1984 to 1993, and Liberal MPs in the Trudeau era.
