Incumbent Darrell Samson is projected to be re-elected in the riding of Sackville-Preston-Chezzetcook.
Sackville–Preston–Chezzetcook consists of part of the Halifax Regional Municipality located on the Atlantic coast between Lake Charlotte and Jeddore Harbour.
This riding was held by veterans advocate and NDP MP Peter Stoffer from 1997 until 2015, when he was defeated by current Liberal MP Darrell Samson.
Voters in Sackville–Preston–Chezzetcook re-elected Samson in the 2019 federal election. Samson managed to capture 40.2 per cent of the vote, beating NDP candidate Matt Stickland by 8,065 votes.
The 2015 red wave in Atlantic Canada helped Samson earn his seat.
