P.E.I. suspends use of AstraZeneca vaccine among young

Health Canada has added a warning label to the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, because a small number of people in Europe reported blood clots after receiving the shot. As Heather Yourex-West explains, health officials insist the shot's benefits far outweigh the risks – Mar 25, 2021

Prince Edward Island has suspended use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine for those aged 18 to 29 who had appointments for shots in pharmacies.

Health officials said in a brief statement the appointments are on hold pending further information expected today from Health Canada and the National Advisory Committee on Immunization.
