Kamsack RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a 15-year-old Regina boy who was last seen in Madge Lake this past weekend.

Jaxon MacDonald was last seen leaving a cottage on foot in the Jubilee subdivision area of Duck Mountain Provincial Park around 12:30 a.m. on March 14.

MacDonald’s mother Danielle Wilson said a cash reward of $100,000 is being offered for any information leading to the teen’s whereabouts.

“He texted me at 12:30 a.m. the night that he disappeared to come and get him and I left five minutes later and he wasn’t there. So we’re talking about a matter of five and 10 minutes this kid just disappeared,” Wilson told Global News on Monday.

“I don’t know if he got in a car with somebody. I don’t know if somebody’s in a car picked him up. He was a block away from the highway. I don’t know if he walked to the highway and somebody picked him up. We have no sign of foul play. We have nothing.

“Right now, we’ve covered so much ground and overturned. We’ve been in cabins and we’ve been through the bush and we have those drones that can detect heat in the bush and all that stuff and nothing’s come up. There’s just no sign of him. It’s like he just vanished.”

RCMP said temperatures dropped to -10 C ambient overnight and MacDonald was not dressed appropriately for the weather.

His destination was a cottage in the same subdivision, not far away, according to a press release on Monday.

“It was a block away. Our cabins are a block away from each other,” Wilson said.

“He was at a party with some local kids a block away from the subdivision, like … it’s just a small beach community. Everybody knows everybody.

“I just want his face everywhere. I want his face everywhere, all over this country and I want … somebody who’s got to know where he is. Somebody’s got to know what happened to him. I just want him to come home.”

Police are asking if residents of the Jubilee subdivision at Duck Mountain Provincial Park would like RCMP to check their property to confirm MacDonald is not there, to contact 306-542-5560.

Kamsack is roughly 350 km east of Saskatoon.

Anyone with information about MacDonald’s whereabouts is asked to contact Kamsack RCMP at 306-542-5560 or Saskatchewan RCMP at 310-RCMP in non-emergencies.
