TORONTO – A California man has launched a hilarious, yet creative plan to catch a thief after a woman was captured on video taking a package off his doorstep.
Tim Lake, an Arcadia resident, claims a woman (or possibly Dog the Bounty Hunter) made off with over $20 in merchandise shipped from Amazon.
“There was this woman at my door, the video camera system sends me a screenshot,” Lake explained to a local news outlet. He thought it was a neighbour stopping by to say hello.
Then the woman fled from Lake’s property with parcel in hand.

“She runs off into the distance in this weird kinda like, I don’t know, like she’s almost got like a flat tire and is scurrying off,” Lake said.
Taking matters into his own hands, Lake plastered a very sarcastic poster throughout his neighbourhood.
“On Friday, the second day of August in the year of our Lord 2013, I was suddenly and deliberately robbed by an unknown assailant,” the poster reads.
Lake describes the suspect as “female-ish”, with eyes “lacking a soul” who is approximately “600 pounds,” about “Yay high,” with a “cheesy blonde dye job.”
