Alex started her broadcasting career in radio at CHML/Y95 in Hamilton where she drove the station cruiser to all the happening events in the city. She soon “cruised” her way into television joining CH, and then headed west to cover entertainment at A-Channel in Calgary. It wasn’t until she was picked up by the New VR in Barrie that she transitioned into reporting the news. Alex went to City TV in 1999 where she was the anchor and reporter for CP24 and the 11 o’clock news.

In 2006, she joined the Global news team as general assignment reporter and weekend anchor. Now Alex takes her award winning journalism to the steps of the court house as Global Toronto’s court reporter.

With over 13 years in broadcasting, Alex has covered many notable stories, and even helped break the Walkerton water tragedy. She’s won 2 Radio Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) awards for a series on trucking which resulted in changes to licensing. She is also an accomplished equestrian and a true animal lover.
