There’s one more thing you can brag about to your friends in Toronto – Vancouver is Canada’s most well-read city, according to Amazon.ca
The online book seller released their first-ever list of the Top 20 Most Well-Read Cities in Canada. The list was compiled by comparing Amazon.ca sales data, for books and e-books purchased in the past year on a per-capita basis, looking at cities with more than 100,000 residents.

In addition to being the best-read, the sales data suggested that Vancouverites are both entrepreneurial and well-travelled. Vancouver topped the list for ordering the most books in the business and investing category, and was one of the top cities for travel books.
Calgary and Saskatoon placed second and third, respectively, while Burnaby, Richmond and Surrey also represented B.C. in the top 20. Toronto came in at seventh, and Montreal failed to make the top 20.
