The Regina Police Service (RPS) has concluded an operation in the area of Rae Street and 9th Avenue.

Police were called to the 1600 block of Rae Street just after 2 a.m. Monday morning, after a man was reportedly spotted getting out of a vehicle with a gun and entering a residence. According to an RPS news release sent Tuesday afternoon, the person who reported the incident indicated the man was accompanied by a woman as well.

The SWAT team, canine unit and negotiators were onsite for hours, trying to communicate with the people inside of the home.

While two women exited the residence shortly after a safety perimeter was established, states the RPS news release, others were still believed to be inside.
