Saskatoon police investigating city’s 8th homicide of 2020

Saskatoon Police are investigating the city’s eighth homicide of 2020 after an injured man died at the Saskatoon Inn early Saturday morning.

Officers and Medavie Health Service paramedics received a call about an injured man in the Inn, on Airport Drive, around 7:20 a.m., according to a police statement.

Upon arrival, officers and paramedics declared the man dead.

Officials have not released any more information about the victim.

There was a heavy police presence at the Saskatoon Inn, on Airport Drive, early Saturday morning, with six vehicles parked outside.

A hotel guest told Global News he was staying on the seventh floor and, early in the morning, heard screaming.

Major crimes and forensic identification units are investigating.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or CrimeStoppers.
