Hamilton man dead after hit by truck on Lincoln Alexander Parkway

A 27-year-old Hamilton man is dead after an early morning crash on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway (Linc), according to police.

Investigators believe the victim died when he exited his car on the busy roadway around 4:a.m. on Monday and was hit by a truck travelling westbound between Upper James and Garth streets.

“The police investigation has determined the driver of the vehicle was not at fault and no other injuries reported,” police said in a release on Monday afternoon.

Police believe the deceased’s vehicle was involved in a single-vehicle crash involving some signposts on the highway before he was hit.

The incident closed both eastbound and westbound traffic for close to 11 hours on the Linc.
