REGINA – Drivers passing through highway construction zones in Saskatchewan could now find themselves on camera.
The province has started using photo radar to catch speeders in highway construction zones.
The move to improve safety comes after a flag person was struck and killed in August 2012.
MLA Darryl Hickie, who is heading up a traffic safety committee, says there are three of the mobile radar devices that will be deployed across Saskatchewan.

Photos will be taken of vehicles going faster than 60 kilometres an hour and then sent to the RCMP, who can issue tickets.
The camera, which is also used in Alberta and Manitoba, can take clear images of vehicles up to 150 metres away.
