Canada Day civic services for Saskatoon

SASKATOON – There are a number of closures and reduced hours for civic services in Saskatoon on Canada Day.

City Hall – closed

Parking meters – no payment required but motorists are required to move their vehicles within the time period shown on the meters

Municipal impound lot – closed

Saskatoon public library – closed

Saskatoon landfill – open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Compost depots – open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Garbage and recycling collection – takes place as scheduled

Mendel Art Gallery – open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with free admission

Transit service – operating on regular Sunday/holiday schedule, transit customer service closed

Access transit – operating on regular holiday service from 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. with normal booking procedures

Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo – zoo open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., park from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Kinsmen Park Play Village – open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Outdoor pools– open from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. except for Mayfair which is closed

Spray parks – open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Paddling pools – closed

Lions SkatePark and SkateSites – open 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Holiday Park, Wildwood, and Silverwood Golf Courses – operations as usual

Cosmo Civic Centre – CLOSED

Lakewood Civic Centre:

• Facility and Fitness Centre: 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m.
• Lane Swim: 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
• Drop-In Basketball 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Public Gym 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Public Swim: 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• No childcare; regular fitness classes cancelled.

Lawson Civic Centre:

• Facility and Fitness Room: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Family Swim: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Public Swim: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• All fitness classes and swim lessons cancelled.

Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre:

• Facility and Fitness Centre: 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m.
• Lane Swim: 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m.
• Parent & Tot Swim: 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
• Public Swim: 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Regular fitness classes cancelled.

Saskatoon Field House:

• Facility and Fitness Room: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Special holiday fitness class: 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Shaw Centre:

• Facility and Fitness Centre: 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m.
• Lane Swim: 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.; 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (warm-up pool);
• 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. (competitive pool)
• Parent & Tot Swim: 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.; 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (leisure pool)
• Public Swim: 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (competitive pool, warm-up, and leisure pools)
• No childcare; all fitness classes cancelled.
