The provincial death toll rose by one, to 19.

Lab testing is needed to confirm that two of those deaths were related to the virus, officials said.

Information relating to location, transmission source, and patient statuses were pending for all of the new cases reported.

Just under 8,700 cases remain under investigation, while over 33,000 people have been confirmed negative.

Eight cases are resolved.

Dr. David Williams, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, said 63 people with COVID-19 are in ICUs.

Williams also said that 91 health-care workers in the province have tested positive for coronavirus since the outbreak began, though the transmission source for the cases is not known.
