On Thurdsay, the Edmonton Eskimos Thursday signed two players to one-year contract extensions which will run to the end of the 2020 CFL season.
International linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox, 25, will be entering his second season with the Eskimos — last season, he missed the first 15 games but played in the final three game of the season.
Santos-Knox recorded 15 defensive plays consisting of 13 defensive tackles, one quarterback sack, and one special teams tackle.
Santos-Knox was a pending free-agent.
He previously played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2017 and 2018. Santos-Knox was born in Waterbury, Conn. and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
The Eskimos also announced a one-year contract extension for Canadian receiver Anthony Parker. The 30-year-old missed the 2019 regular season and playoffs after suffering a ruptured Achilles in the Eskimos second pre-season game in Winnipeg on June 1.
Parker will be entering his 10th CFL season. He has played in 117 career games, recording 2,344 yards and scoring 15 touchdowns.
