The Edmonton Eskimos announced two players has signed contract extensions on Wednesday.
International running back Shaq Cooper was signed to a one-year contract extension that will take him to the end of the 2020 CFL season.
Cooper will be entering his third season with the Eskimos, he’s played in seven games rushing for 496 yards and scoring two touchdowns.
This season, Cooper appeared in five games — starting in four of them, recording 352 yards rushing, a 5.4 rushing average and scoring two touchdowns. Cooper also recorded 112 receiving yards. He has one receiving touchdown in his CFL career.

The team also announced the signing of International defensive back Brian Walker to a three-year contract extension through to the end of the 2022 CFL season.
Walker played 14 games in 2019 for the Eskimos, making nine starts, recording 25 defensive tackles, four special teams tackles, two quarterback sacks and one interception.
Both Cooper and Walker were both pending CFL free agents.
