The shooting killed three people including 21-year-old Aaron Bendle, 23-year-old Sanjeev Mann, and innocent bystander 43-year-old Keni S’ua.

On Wednesday, The Alberta Court of Appeal ordered a new trial for Zuccherato and Roberto, citing new evidence in the case which surfaced after their conviction.

The move comes after the Crown’s star witness, who can only be referred to as ‘MM,’ confessed to the murders to an RCMP officer in Saskatchewan

The pair remain in custody until their new trial, which is expected sometime in 2014.
