EDMONTON – Alberta Health Services (AHS) is spending a full 12-hour shift Thursday documenting the day of front-line EMS staff on Twitter.
The AHS Communications Twitter account @AHS_media is revealing what a Calgary-based EMS team does on a daily basis by live-tweeting a ride-along with paramedics.
AHS is posting photographs and information about the calls the team responds to in real-time.

AHS organized the virtual ride-along as part of EMS Awareness Week, which runs May 26 to June 1.
The organization says Alberta has 4,000 EMS practitioners serving Albertans every day.
