Victim not co-operating after stabbing at downtown bar: Hamilton police

Hamilton police say the victim of an early morning stabbing at a downtown bar is not co-operating with authorities.

At 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to the Nobody’s Perfect Bar & Grill at 251 John St. N., where officers say two male patrons were involved in an argument that led to one of them being stabbed.

The victim was removed from the establishment as a result of the disturbance.

Paramedics transported a 29-year-old man from Hamilton to the hospital, where he was treated and is expected to fully recover.

“The victim did not co-operate with the police investigation,” Hamilton Police Service said in an official release.

“Efforts to locate security video of the incident have met with negative results and with the lack of cooperation from the victim; police are unable to identify a suspect,” police said.

Through investigation, police have been able to establish the victim visited the Nobody’s Perfect Bar and Grill where he was removed from the establishment as a result of a disturbance. The victim was then injured while outside.
