Power is now back on after a wide-spread outage in New Westminster Saturday morning.
Callers to CKNW said power went out just before 7:30 a.m. Saturday, but city crews restored all power about two hours later.
Traffic lights were also down in parts of the city, but are now back up and running.
A spokesperson for the city said the problem originated at a substation, but would not give any more details.
Unlike the rest of the Lower Mainland, which is overseen by BC Hydro, New Westminster has its own electrical department that oversees all infrastructure, outages and billing.
