Every year, thousands of people from all over the world don their western wear and pass through the gates at the Calgary Stampede.
The 10-day event is a celebration of western heritage and culture with midway rides, deep-fried foods, fireworks and bucking broncos.

Reporters live at the Stampede midway
Global News reporters will be live at the Stampede grounds throughout the 10-day event covering various stories from the grounds. Reporters will also be live on location during Global News Morning Calgary and Global News at Noon.
Calgary Today with Joe McFarland on Global News Radio 770 CHQR will be broadcasting live from the Stampede grounds every weekday from 3:30 p.m. until 6 p.m.

During the 10 days of the Calgary Stampede, Global News will present the evening weather forecasts live from the Stampede during Global News at 5 and Global News Hour at 6.
Global News tent at the Stampede grounds
Global News will be taking in the sights and sounds of the Calgary Stampede in a tent on the Stampede grounds.
The tent will be located at the steps of the Saddledome.
There will be different activities for viewers who want to come and say hello – including colouring for kids, a photo contest, a Global News photo booth and a Plinko game where you can win prizes.
