TORONTO — It’s Miley Cyrus like you’ve never seen her before: Cupping her bare breast, cheekily pulling on her underwear and posing with her pants undone.
The actress-singer put her wholesome Hannah Montana image behind her once and for all in a photo shoot for the new issue of of V Magazine.
The provocative images, shot by famed photographer Mario Testino, show Cyrus, 20, clad in leather and exposing a lot of skin.
“I’m going to change, I’m going to be different,” Cyrus told the magazine. “I’m going to do what I want to do.”
Cyrus appears in V in advance of the release of her fourth studio album, which she promises is a departure from her bubble gum pop roots.
“I didn’t make a record for the people that love me,” she explained. “I’m not trying to prove anything to anybody.”
Cyrus, who spent part of her childhood in Toronto while dad Billy Ray Cyrus starred in the TV series Doc, posed for the revealing photos shortly after telling Elle UK she didn’t want to show off too much of her sexy side.
“A star is someone who doesn’t have to take her clothes off to be sexy because you naturally have star power,” she said. “Sex does sell, but you have to find a way that’s not just showing your t**s.”
