Wellington County OPP say they are looking for three suspects following a distraction theft in which an 82-year-old woman allegedly had her wallet stolen in Fergus, Ont., and $15,000 withdrawn from her bank accounts.
According to a police news release, the woman’s wallet was stolen on Feb. 20 in a parking lot on St. David Street North.

Police said the three suspects watched while the woman entered her PIN during a credit card purchase at a store.
The three suspects then allegedly distracted the woman outside by telling her she had a flat tire and stole her wallet when she wasn’t looking.
The victim was contacted the next day by her financial institution and told that $15,000 was taken from her accounts.
Police have released surveillance photos of the suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
