OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk says that shortly after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, a flatbed truck hauling a vehicle was heading westbound on Highway 403 near King George Road when the driver experienced a mechanical failure with the truck’s front right tire.
Sanchuk says this caused the truck to go through a retaining wall and end up in someone’s backyard.
However, the driver was able to walk away from the crash with only minor injuries.
One westbound lane of Highway 403 has been closed near King George Road for cleanup.
Police are asking people not to rubberneck or stop and take pictures so that crews responding to the scene can do their job.
