Kitchener man arrested twice at Guelph Walmart 24 hours apart: police

Guelph police must have experienced a little déjà vu over the weekend while arresting the same Kitchener man at the same Walmart, exactly 24 hours apart.

Police said a 45-year-old man was arrested on Saturday at 11:15 a.m. after $554.12 worth of hockey cards were allegedly stolen from the store on Woodlawn Road.

Police said he was also breaching two conditions of a probation order.

He was released on Sunday, but then spotted again by officers at 11:15 a.m., driving in the parking lot of the same Walmart.

Police said the licence plates and validation sticker on the vehicle were reported stolen out of Waterloo, and the man was also a suspended driver.

He was arrested again and is facing a list of charges stemming from the two incidents.
