Police said it appears the two women had gotten into an argument the day before. During the argument, one woman allegedly showed the other woman a knife and threatened her, according to police.

The argument continued on Sunday, police said, with one woman stabbing the other in the chest and pushing her down the stairs.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A police spokesperson said officers know the identity of the suspect and are trying to make an arrest.
