A 32-year-old Surrey man is facing six charges in connection with a shooting that seriously injured a 17-year-old boy in January.
The shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. on Jan. 9, outside a townhouse complex in the 9500-block of Prince Charles Boulevard.
Police said it appears that a light coloured Jeep Wrangler drove up to the townhouse complex and collided with a Toyota minivan.

The driver of the Jeep then exited and fired into the van before fleeing, police said.
Police were able to track down and arrest a suspect on site, while the minivan drove to Surrey Memorial Hospital, where the 17-year-old was treated.

According to Surrey RCMP, Rajinder Sandhu is now charged with attempted murder, along with five firearms charges.
Police believe the attack was targeted and related to a previous dispute, but that the victim was not the intended target.

The shooting is not believed to be a part of the wider regional gang conflict or the drug trade, police said.
