Man killed after being hit by vehicle at worksite near Grande Prairie

One person was killed after being hit by a vehicle near Grande Prairie, Alta. on Monday.

RCMP said a vehicle was driving in reverse when it struck a 37-year-old man, causing fatal injuries.

The fatal collision happened at a business on a rural property about 20 kilometres south of Grande Prairie.

Police have not released the name of the victim.

RCMP said a forensic collision reconstructionist and forensic identification personnel have been consulted as part of the investigation, which is ongoing.

Occupational Health and Safety has been notified and are looking into the incident, police said.
