Fredericton police are on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash that occurred Tuesday evening.
Police say officers along with members of the Fredericton Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick are at the scene of the crash in the 1100 block of Riverside Drive.

Alycia Bartlett, a spokesperson for the Fredericton Police Force, says that four people have been taken to hospital and at least three of them had “significant injuries.”
Police say there were “near whiteout conditions” at the time of the crash.

Bartlett says that the department’s identification section and accident reconstruction unit are also one scene and will remain there for several hours.
Riverside Drive remains closed and police are asking people to avoid the area at this time.
